I was so perturbed after reading this article on espn.com that I had to write something about it. Here is the link: espn article.
Dear LaMarr Woodley,
Maybe if you didn't lose 5 straight games during the regular season, you wouldn't have to worry about the patriots and bengals laying down this week. The nerve of you to say something as bold and outlandish as this. In the words of Peter Griffin, this really grinds my gears! During your 5 game losing streak you lose 3 games to the Chiefs, Raiders, and Browns. Each of these teams are well below .500. You do not deserve to make the playoffs if you lose to either of these teams, much less all 3 of them. Face the facts, you do not deserve to make the playoffs, and I hope you do not. You should spend the offseason figuring out ways to play good defense without Troy Polamalu, since he's bound to get injured every season.
Bye.

This is just unheard of, what is going on in the world
I woke up today at 6am, and what a day it has been. This blog will be interesting and includes discussion on Bristol Palin, the air force one photo shoot, and the state of major league baseball.
First, I was flabbergased to hear on CNN this morning that Bristol Palin, you know the daughter of Sarah Palin (worst VP candidate ever), is saying teens should wait to have sex. Ummm... what! are you kidding me!!?? I was outraged to hear this. Wasn't it several weeks or months ago (I lose track of time), when she was saying abstinence does not work and teens will have sex if they want to. I feel there is something behind the scenes that needs to be made public. I think this is some kind of publicity stunt. Face it abstinence programs DO NOT WORK!! Teach kids how to have safe sex, so if they feel they are ready to have sex, they can be properly protected from STDs and an unwanted pregnancy. What an outrage...
Secondly, there is talk the photos from the air force one photo shoot over NYC will be made public. Well, I wholeheartedly agree with this. This photo shoot spent nearly $330,000 of taxpayers money, and I want to see what they look like. Personally, I think the individual, can't think of his name, should be fired, or take an extended leave of absence. This is absolutely ridiculous that he allowed this to happen, and I cannot believe President Obama was not notified of this prior to it happening. I think he would not let this happen if it was made known to him.
Third, what the hell is going on in Major League Baseball!!?? I received a call from my brother 30 minutes ago saying Manny Ramirez tested positive for steroids! I responded with, that's just Manny being Manny (haha). This is unbelievable; I truly find it hard to believe anything is real in Major League Baseball anymore. My brother commented if you tested everyone in MLB today, more than half of the players would fail, and there would be nobody left to play the game. I wouldn't go as far to say half of the players, but I am finding it harder and harder to believe baseball is clean. It leaves me pondering what is going to be done about it. Bud Selig already tried to have Congress do the dirty work, but I am still trying to figure out what that really accomplished. I think Bud Selig should take a look in the mirror, confirm that he is a man and the head of MLB, and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!! He is the commissioner, so take some responsibility. Every player should be tested several times throughout the season. Also, offseason testing should be conducted. Something needs to be done to clean up baseball. This needs to be done to keep the integrity of the game and for the fans.
Well, wow, what a day it has been, and its only 12:30pm. Have a good one...

So much to do, but where is the time
Hello again, I did not post anything yesterday... oops, oh well. Thus far, today has been really good. I went golfing this morning and shot two shots lower than my previous two rounds. Hey, I am showing some signs of improvement!
I think today I would like to discuss school and other life things. Yesterday, it was official, I completed my second year of graduate school! It is a joyous feeling and I cannot believe it was already been two years! I still have three more years to go, but I am looking forward to the journey. And with the second year coming to a close, it does not mean the work ever stops. Monday, I heard back from a journal that a manuscript I submitted in early February got the ever so attractive revise and resubmit! This is great news, in the world of academia, this is what everybody wants- revise and re-submit! The reviews were not terrible, but ofcourse something I saw in the editor's letter was they expect a copy within two months! I was kinda shocked at this. It made me realize there is sooooo much to do, but where is the time? All I can think about doing at this point is taking some time off with the semester being over and relaxing for a bit, but it seems like that won't be as easy to do. I honestly, just want to kick back, relax, play some golf, and take it easy for most of the month of May. It would be great if this could happen.
Well, this is a pretty boring post, I realize this, but hopefully next time I won't have school on my mind, and I will write about real world events, or something more interesting at least.

A-Rod seems to be catching all of the headlines
Alright, well here is my first rambling on this blog spot. Today, I read an article by Jim Caple on espn.com regarding A-Rod. I mean, I just don't get it, people, just cannot get enough of A-Rod. It is as if he is the only baseball player to ever use steroids. I just would like to know, basides A-Rod, who else was on the list of individuals who tested positive for steroids in 2003 ( I think). Why aren't these individuals' names made public, so they can be heavily scrutinized like A-Rod. I think it is unfair to A-Rod and to the baseball world that these individuals' names are not being released. As a matter of fact, I don't think you can soley place the blame of steroids use on the player, but the culture, and major league baseball are at fault. I mean, come on, like Bud Selig did not know that players were juicing up in the late 80s and through the 1990s. MLB needed help, especially after the strike in 1994, so ofcourse they (MLB) turned a blind eye to steroids use. It burns me even more that Congress had to intervene to settle this, and waste taxpayers money, when they should have been preventing the economic meltdown.
Welcome everyone
Hello Everyone!
I am not sure how many people will be reading this, but I wanted to start a blog to get my daily thoughts out of life in general and occurences in the world, media, and sports. I hope people will read this and comment on it regularly.
